STAR TREK CONVENTION UPDATE: Day 3!

FIRSTLY, my dad and I arrived in time to see Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, Colm Meaney, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, LeVar Burton, and Michael Dorn all come on stage to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Star Trek: The Next Generation!

They were all so funny! Especially Brent and Jon! Marina Sirtis actually really surprised me, she was way more bitchy than I expected! She’s like the complete opposite of Deanna Troi in person… They all shared funny stories and joked around with eachother before answering some questions from the audience for about 15 minutes. It was really an honor and I felt so lucky to be there to celebrate 25 years with them!

After that, my dad bought me a Tribble in the vendor’s room and I named him Pavel! Above is a picture of my brother’s kitten and him :D

THEN (we didn’t stay the whole time today), Armin Shimerman, Max Grodenchik, and Aron Eisenberg came on stage as “The Ferengi Family”. It was a real treat, they talked about how much fun they had with the rest of the DS9 actors and how close they still are, even after so long.

STAR TREK CONVENTION UPDATE: Day 2

(TL;DR: I chatted with John De Lancie about My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and got autographs from Brent Spiner and Andy Robinson!!)

(P.S. I ordered this shirt online a couple months ago and wore it today to the convention.)

Highlights of today! Screamed my head off for the adorable, charming Mr. Andy Robinson while he was on stage this morning, and then enjoyed listening to a play performed by Dominic Keating, Connor Trinneer, and Garrett Wang!

Then in the vendors room, I managed to get the courage up to go stand in line for an autograph from Brent Spiner, and while I was standing in line with my dad, he just randomly goes up and starts talking to John De Lancie, who at the time didn’t have anyone waiting in line for an autograph from him!! We ended up chatting with him for almost 10 minutes about My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and the documentary he is making about the show’s online phenomenon! He and his wife were so sweet to me! It was like a dream come true…

THEN: As I nervously walked up to my favorite Star Trek actor of all time (Data photograph shaking in my hands), Brent Spiner said to me

“Hey babe. Nice shirt!”

I couldn’t believe I was actually talking to THEE BRENT SPINER. I laughed and gave him two thumbs up and then asked if he could sign his autograph for me and he asked who to make it out to and how to spell my name. As he was signing it, I told him that Data was my favorite Star Trek character of all time and how much I enjoyed Fresh Hell. And then he was like “Hey, Data is my favorite Star Trek character too! And I also love Fresh Hell. We have so much in common!” 

He was so awesome! Especially after sitting there all day today and all afternoon yesterday signing autograph after autograph, he was still so kind to me! My dad then  mentioned that I was majoring in Fine Art at the local magnet high school and I told him that I wanted to go into Film in college and he told me to remember him when I get big in Hollywood! I laughed and thanked him for his autograph <3 It would be my honor to get Brent Spiner a job when I get older!!

This perfect day ended with getting Andrew Robinson’s autograph after standing in line for almost two hours! He was so adorable I thought I was going to die. So sweet! <3 <3 <3

I’m going to upload pictures of all the autographs and merchandise my dad bought me at the end of the weekend!! MORE NEWS TO COME!

STAR TREK CONVENTION UPDATE:

So I’ve gotten Jeff Combs’ and John De Lancie’s autographs so far! I get so nervous around celebrities.. My dad had to take the photos out of my hand because I was shaking so badly..

Also: I WALKED NEXT TO John De Lancie as he was heading to the main theatre to perform on stage and I was heading to the main theatre to see him on stage! AND I spotted BRENT SPINER in person! He was signing autographs with LeVar Burton.. That’s when I realized I needed to go sit down or I was going to pass out.

According to Brent Spiner, Michael Dorn has recently created a Twitter account.
I lol’d.
